How to keep a golf match-play scoreboard in step with each hole's result

Give Vizard Agent the hole-by-hole results and how to tell the two players apart. It stores the match state at the start and end of every hole, shows the right state from each player's side, flips the score only on the putt that decides the hole, and checks the finished video against your list before delivery.

What do you type into Vizard Agent?

Write the results the way a scorer would, in order, with the state after each hole. Match play is a running total rather than a score per hole, so the graphic can only be right if the agent knows where the match stood at every point, not just who won each hole.

Keep a match-play scoreboard on screen the whole time. Hole 1 halved, hole 2 to Alex, 1 up, hole 3 to Sam, back to all square. On shared greens, only show our two players' strokes. No shot tracers.

What does Vizard Agent actually do?

It treats the scoreboard as data with a timeline, not a title that changes at cuts. Each hole has a state going in and a state coming out, and the moment it changes is a specific frame: the ball dropping on the deciding putt. In the session behind this article it:

When does this not work well?

When the footage misses the deciding shot. If nobody filmed the putt that won the hole, there is no frame to flip the score on, and the change has to sit on the walk off the green, which reads late. Groups dressed alike on shared greens also make the stroke list slower and less certain.
