What does Vizard Agent actually do?
Audio does not travel on a feed, and an audiogram lives or dies on whether the waveform actually responds to the voice. Plenty animate convincingly without being driven by the audio at all, so Vizard Agent generates the bars from the audio's own samples and checks them against the voice. In the session behind this article it:

When does this not work well?
An audiogram is a still image for its whole duration, which is a lot to ask of a viewer, and attention runs out well before a long clip does. Busy artwork competes with the waveform unless a scrim is used. Mastering does not fix a bad room, and silence gives a flat waveform that looks broken.

Do I need artwork? It helps enormously. Vizard Agent generates a placeholder if you have none, but yours is better.
