How to put your real talking head on your character in a cartoon you already have

Tell Vizard Agent to keep the cartoon exactly as it is and add only your real head. It animates a still of your head to the video's own narration, finds the cartoon character's head in every frame, scales your head to it and anchors your chin on the drawn neck, so the cartoon body moves as before with your face talking on top.

What do you type into Vizard Agent?

Say which version to keep and that only the head changes. Asked to "put my face in it", the obvious route restyles your real footage into something new and throws away the cartoon you liked. Naming the approved draft and the one change rules that out.

Keep the original cartoon from the first draft and just add my head with the cap to the body of the cartoon, but keep everything else the same. If that does not work, use a still image and just edit the mouth movements and expressions.

What does Vizard Agent actually do?

It treats your head as a separate layer driven by the original audio. The cartoon stays untouched underneath, and the only new work is a talking head that has to follow the drawn character around the frame. In the session behind this article it:

When does this not work well?

When the cartoon's hands or props pass in front of the head. Your head is a layer on top, so anything that should cross in front of it ends up behind. Fast turns are the other weak point: a photo head faces one way, so a character spinning round looks odd.
