How to reduce too-frequent blinking in a talking-head video

Last updated 2026-10-10 · 2 min read

Tell Vizard Agent where the blinking feels too frequent. It measures how open the eyes are on every frame, lists each blink, keeps a couple at natural spacing and covers the rest with open eyes taken from the nearest frame where they were open, moving with the head. Then it measures again to confirm only the kept blinks remain.

What do you type into Vizard Agent?

Say where it happens and that you still want it to look natural. Some blinking is what makes a face look alive, so asking for none gives you a stare. Vizard Agent keeps a few at natural intervals and removes the rest, and it needs to know which stretch of the video you mean.

At the beginning of the video I blink far too often. Reduce it so it looks natural, and don't change anything else about my face.

What does Vizard Agent actually do?

It counts blinks by measurement instead of by eye, because a blink lasts only a few frames and is easy to miss on a quick watch. The fix is local: only the eye area changes, and only on the frames of the blinks it removes. In the session behind this article it:

When does this not work well?

When the head turns a lot during the blinks. A patch of open eyes from a nearby frame only fits while the face is at roughly the same angle, so fast turns or big changes of expression around the eyes need a generated fix instead, which can drift from the person's real look.

Common questions

Will it remove every blink? No. Vizard Agent keeps a few so the face looks alive.

Does the rest of my face change? No. Vizard Agent patches only the eyes on those frames.

How do I know the extra blinks are gone? Vizard Agent measures eye openness again afterwards.
