How to stop an effect eating the time people need to read

What does Vizard Agent actually do?
An animation that takes two seconds to assemble leaves two seconds less to read what it assembled. So the useful measure is the readable seconds, not the total ones, and a plain version built alongside the elaborate one settles the question, because two versions can be watched and an argument cannot. Sometimes there is simply no time to find. It's also a poor fit when the effect is the point, as a title sequence may be, or when a brand-mandated animation can't change.
