How to stop speaker auto-tracking from shaking the background

Last updated 2026-10-10 · 2 min read

Ask Vizard Agent to replace the speaker tracking with a static crop. On a camera that never moved, a crop that keeps re-centring on the face slides a few pixels at a time, and the background reads as shaking. It sets one fixed frame per segment, wide enough for the biggest gesture, and re-renders only the picture.

What do you type into Vizard Agent?

Describe the symptom and allow an imperfect frame. Auto-tracking exists to keep the face centred, so the instruction that removes the shake is permission for the speaker to drift a little within a fixed frame, plus room for the hands.

The speaker section is jittering. The auto tracking keeps re-centring the crop in small steps, which makes the background shake. Use a static, locked crop, slightly wider if needed so his gestures stay in frame. It's fine if he's not perfectly centred.

What does Vizard Agent actually do?

It reads back what its own tracking was doing before changing anything. A crop path that re-aims once a second looks smooth in a graph and terrible on a locked-off wall, and the numbers show how far it actually travels. In the session behind this article it:

When does this not work well?

When the speaker walks. A fixed crop cannot follow someone across a stage, and the honest options are a wider frame or a cut to a second crop when they move. Tracking that moves smoothly and rarely is better there than a crop that twitches every second.

Common questions

Why does my background shake when the camera didn't move? The crop keeps re-centring. Vizard Agent locks it per segment.

Will the speaker still be in frame? Yes. Vizard Agent sizes each crop to the widest gesture.

Does it change the audio? No. Vizard Agent re-renders only the picture.
