When does this not work well?
Compositing means matching light, movement and depth at once. A slow pan is easy to match, but a handheld shot that whips and re-frames is not. Fog that should sit between two hills needs depth the flat picture doesn't carry, so Vizard Agent approximates. In flat midday light, fog often just lowers contrast, and a composited layer can't relight the scene.
