When does this not work well?
Camera movement can't rescue a genuinely flat photograph. An image with nothing in the foreground and nothing in the background gives a slow push nothing to reveal. Low resolution exposes the pixels as the camera moves in, very short holds leave no time for a move to develop, and every extra hero moment raises the cost.
