How to keep a highlight reel in the order the work happened
Upload every clip and name the stages of the job in working order. Vizard Agent finds the strongest moments across all of the footage, then arranges them into the real order the work actually happened in, rather than opening with the most satisfying shot the way a highlight reel normally would.
What do you type into Vizard Agent?
Name the sequence explicitly, stage by stage. Vizard Agent will otherwise rank all the moments by how good they look on their own, which is the right default for most reels and exactly the wrong answer for a job with a real order. It can't know that scrubbing comes after washing unless you say so.

What does Vizard Agent actually do?
It ranks first and re-sorts second. The candidates are chosen by how good they look, then put back into the working order, which is a different list and usually a better film. The finished result lands at the end, where a viewer who watched the work happen reads it differently. In the session behind this article it:
- Inspected five car wash clips, generated a contact sheet for each and reviewed all five in turn.
- Built a detailed overview grid for each clip and read every grid individually, so each clip was gone through twice before any moment was chosen.
- Checked the audio streams and analysed the audio levels across the clips.
- Located the best shot timestamps across all the footage at once, extracted sample strips for each candidate and reviewed them together.
- Calculated the shot durations so the stages got proportionate rather than equal time, arranged them washing, then scrubbing, then drying, and searched the music library for a track to suit the pace.
When does this not work well?
Insisting on the sequence is a real constraint, and it costs something elsewhere. A missing stage leaves a hole, a weak middle has to be shown anyway, and coverage can be uneven, such as ten minutes of one stage and ten seconds of another. Vizard Agent says when the footage can't support the order rather than quietly reordering it.
Common questions
Why not lead with the best shot? Because for a process, the best shot is the ending. Vizard Agent saves it for the ending.
What if one stage has no good footage? It says so. Vizard Agent will not invent a stage that was not filmed.
What if I filmed the stages out of order? Say which clip is which. Vizard Agent sorts them into working order regardless of when they were filmed.
