How to pause a demo on the click that matters
Tell Vizard Agent which moments the viewer has to read and how long they need. A screen recording runs at the speed of somebody who already knows the software, so Vizard Agent holds the frame where a click lands, extends the passages that are being scanned, slows scrolls with motion smoothing rather than cutting them, and checks the slowed sections for artefacts.
What do you type into Vizard Agent?
Name what is on the screen to Vizard Agent rather than giving it a timecode. Timecodes shift every time the edit changes, whereas "the moment the cursor clicks Visual Analysis" survives a re-cut and means exactly the same thing to both of you afterwards. Say how many seconds each moment needs; three is a good default.

What does Vizard Agent actually do?
Whoever recorded the demo knew where every button was. The viewer doesn't, and a screen that changes the instant it's clicked gives them a third of a second to read it. A hold and a slow-down are two different tools for two different problems, not one pacing setting applied everywhere. In the session behind this article it:
- Read the action logs of each screen capture in a product walkthrough to find what happened where, and checked the screen where the hold was meant to go.
- Added the hold at the frame where the click lands and the new screen is fully drawn, not a few frames earlier on the screen being left.
- Rebuilt the video with that timing, verified the hold in the finished cut and reviewed the held frame to confirm it was the right one.
- Applied motion-smoothed slow motion to the scrolling passages, since a scroll carries its meaning in the movement, and checked them for smoothness and artefacts.

When does this not work well?
Holds cost time and attention. Too many and the demo stalls, which is its own failure, and a genuinely dense screen may need a graphic or a callout rather than three more seconds of the same picture. Fast social formats have no room for a hold, and narration that's already recorded fixes the timing.
Common questions
How long should a hold be? About three seconds. Vizard Agent will lengthen it if you're speaking over it.
What about scrolling passages? Vizard Agent slows those rather than holding them, because the movement is the content.
Will slow motion blur the text? It can. Vizard Agent checks the slowed passage for exactly that.
