What does Vizard Agent actually do?
When twenty-odd people send you clips from the same day, a good half of them are unusable: shaky, soft, or the same moment sent twice. Deciding which ones survive is the real work, and it should be done on measurement, which gives the same answer every time, rather than on a quick look. In the session behind this article it:
- Read the metadata of all 23 phone clips from an event and analysed their duration, resolution and timestamps.
- Built three contact sheets and reviewed them by eye: clips one to eight, nine to sixteen and seventeen to twenty-three.
- Ran an md5 hash pass to catch duplicate files, then checked the input order and durations.

When does this not work well?
Triage only helps when there's something worth keeping. If most clips fail, the video is short, because measurement can't invent coverage, and discarding isn't rescuing: ask for stabilisation if you need those shots. Numbered filenames from several phones don't interleave, and a steady, sharp, badly framed shot still passes.
