How to reuse something you already chose in an earlier project
Name the earlier project and the file, attach the file in the same message, and say whether Vizard Agent should use that exact thing or only the qualities you liked about it. Naming it explains what it is; attaching it removes the chance of the whole request resting on something that cannot be reached.
What is the short version?
You already made a decision — this piano bed, this logo, this grade — and you want the next piece built on it. The failure is not that Vizard Agent refuses; it is that "the same as last time" can mean two different things and you get the other one.
- Tell Vizard Agent the project and the filename, and attach the file.
- Say what you are keeping from it and what should change.
- Ask for labelled options and hold the commit until you pick.
What do you need before you start?
The file, or the ability to get it. If it was delivered to you it is in that project's outputs; if you supplied it, you still have it. Either way the version you attach is the one that gets used, which removes an entire class of argument about which take was the approved one.
You also need to know what you actually liked about it. "Use the same music" and "use music like that" lead to different work, and only you know which one you meant.
What do you type into Vizard Agent?
Put the identification and the instruction in one message, and pre-empt the gap rather than waiting to find out about it. A request built on a file Vizard Agent cannot reach stalls at the first step, and a request that names no file at all gets answered from a description of a description.
In my earlier project "Live Stream Edit" I chose option 5, "Inspirational Ambient" — the file was upload_preview-opt5.mp3, attached here. Use it as the reference: keep the gentle piano, the spacious atmosphere and the calm pace, then add an expressive violin and make the arrangement more polished. Give me three short previews, labelled, and wait for my choice before you score the video.
Every clause there is doing something. The filename identifies it, the attachment guarantees it, "as the reference" says it is a starting point rather than the answer, and the last sentence stops anything being committed before you have heard it.
What does Vizard Agent actually do?
It treats a named-and-attached asset as a specification rather than a suggestion, which is the difference between matching your earlier choice and producing something in the same general mood. The instructions you give about it decide which of those you get.
In the sessions behind this article:
- The reference audio was used for its qualities — the piano, the space, the pace — with the new element added on top, not blended in arbitrarily.
- Three previews were built at separate intensities and labelled, so the choice was between comparable things.
- Nothing was scored until the choice came back, because the brief said to wait.
- In a second project, a brand's written guidelines and logo from earlier work were pulled forward so the new piece matched an established look rather than a fresh reading of it.
That last one is the more reliable pattern in the long run. A written standard travels between projects far better than a decision you remember making.
What does the result look like?
Continuity you did not have to re-argue for a second time. The new piece sounds or looks like it belongs beside the earlier one, the part you asked to change is the only part that changed, and Vizard Agent can tell you which quality of the reference it carried across.
The labelled previews are the other half of the value. You hear three versions of the same idea for the cost of three short clips instead of reviewing a finished piece and discovering the intensity is wrong, which is the expensive way to learn the same thing.
When does this not work well?
When what you want carried forward was never a file. "Make it feel like the last one" with nothing attached is a description of a memory, and Vizard Agent has to guess which quality you meant — usually landing on the most obvious one rather than the one that mattered to you.
It also goes wrong when "the same" is taken literally and you wanted an evolution, or taken loosely and you wanted an exact match. That ambiguity is in the words, not in the tool, and it is the single most common reason this comes back wrong.
And a reference you link rather than attach can simply be unreachable — a private file, an expired link, a platform that blocks fetching. Vizard Agent will tell you rather than pretending it matched something, but you have lost a round.
How do you fix a result that came back wrong?
Say which direction it missed: too close to the original, or too far from it. Those are opposite corrections, and Vizard Agent can act on either immediately, whereas "not quite right" sends it looking for a third thing you did not ask for.
If it kept the wrong quality, name the one you cared about. "The space, not the instrument" or "the pace, not the tone" is enough to redirect it without starting over from the reference.
If you have drifted across several projects, write the standard down once. Vizard Agent works from a supplied spec more consistently than from a chain of references to references, and you stop re-deciding the same things.
How does Vizard Agent compare to doing it yourself?
Digging out an old project file and matching it by ear is work you have already done once, and the reason people skip it is that it feels like it should be unnecessary. Attaching the file is the version of that work which takes ten seconds.
The habit worth keeping is the labelled preview set. Producers do this because it makes the choice concrete, and it is much easier to say "two, but less" about three short clips than about a finished video you have to imagine differently.
Common questions
Do I have to attach the file? It is the reliable way. Naming it alone leaves the request resting on access.
What if I only have the filename? Say so. Vizard Agent will ask you to upload it rather than guess.
Can it use the old thing exactly? Yes, if you say "exactly". Otherwise Vizard Agent treats it as a reference.
How do I ask for an evolution instead? Separate keep from change in the same sentence, as specifically as you can.

What about a brand's colours and fonts? Give Vizard Agent a written spec rather than an old video to copy.
Does a link work instead of a file? Sometimes. Vizard Agent will say if it could not reach it.
Can it match a grade from an earlier piece? Give Vizard Agent a frame or a clip to match against, not a description.
What if I cannot find the original? Attach the delivered video and ask Vizard Agent to work from that.
Why did it change more than I asked? Usually because "the same" read as "in that style". Say "exactly".
