How to turn a flyer into a short promo video

Last updated 2026-08-16 · 6 min read

Upload the flyer to Vizard Agent and say what the event is. Vizard Agent reads the flyer for the details, cuts the speaker's photograph out of it cleanly, animates that portrait, writes and voices a short invitation, and delivers a video built from the one image you already had.

What is the short version?

Every organisation has a flyer and no video. The flyer already contains everything — the name, the date, the venue, a photograph of the speaker — and turning it into something that moves normally means starting over with a designer who has to be briefed on all of it again.

  1. Go to Vizard Agent and upload the flyer image.
  2. Say what the event is, who it is for, and what tone you want.
  3. Say the length and the feed it is going to.

What do you need before you start?

The flyer and a sentence about the occasion. Vizard Agent reads the text off the image itself, so it does not need you to retype the date and the venue, and what it cannot read off a poster is the register — whether this should feel warm and inviting or urgent and promotional.

What do you type into Vizard Agent?

Say what the flyer is for and how it should feel. Vizard Agent extracts the details from the image itself, which means a short brief about tone and audience is worth far more than a retyped version of the information already printed on the poster.

Prompt

Turn this flyer into a short, inviting video clip for [the event]. [Warm and dignified.] Around [30] seconds, vertical, with a voiceover and captions.

Variants worth knowing:

What does Vizard Agent actually do?

Here is the order Vizard Agent worked in on a real flyer conversion. The first third of the run is one small task done stubbornly: getting a clean portrait out of a busy poster, checked by eye each time rather than assumed.

  1. Reads the flyer to understand the text, the speaker and the design.
  2. Downloads it and prints its exact dimensions.
  3. Crops the speaker's photograph out and looks at the crop to confirm it is clean.
  4. Shifts the crop box and looks again, because background text was still creeping into the frame.
  5. Shifts it again, then names the exact pixel range, and confirms the portrait is finally free of lettering.
  6. Finds a warm narrator voice and orchestral music from the library.
  7. Runs the slow jobs at once — music download, voiceover, portrait animation — rather than one after another.
  8. Animates the portrait into a short clip of the speaker smiling and nodding.
  9. Transcribes its own voiceover for word timings and builds the captions from those.

Steps 3 to 5 are the part nobody would write into a brief. Vizard Agent looked at its own crop four times and adjusted by tens of pixels until no stray letters remained, because a portrait with half a word floating beside it ruins the whole video.

What does the result look like?

From the run this page is written from, probed on the delivered file: 720x1280, H.264, 24fps, 32.17 seconds, AAC audio. Vertical, half a minute, with narration, music, captions, an animated portrait and the flyer itself given a slow zoom as its own segment.

Ask for a shorter cut for a story and Vizard Agent trims from the same assets, so the second version costs a fraction of the first.

Expect tens of minutes rather than minutes. This category was not separately measured; comparable work runs a median of 28 to 38 minutes end to end, and across all projects the median cost by tier is Flash 47, Pro 55, Max 242, Ultra 263 credits.

When does this not work well?

Everything in the video comes from one image, and a flyer is a small amount of source material to build thirty seconds from. Vizard Agent extracts and animates what is there, and it cannot show the venue, the audience or the event itself unless those pictures exist somewhere.

How do you fix a result that came back wrong?

Say which part is wrong. Vizard Agent keeps the flyer, the clean portrait crop, the generated voice and the music as separate pieces, so changing the narration does not touch the portrait, and asking for a different crop does not mean the audio has to be generated again.

How does Vizard Agent compare to doing it yourself?

By hand this is a designer's afternoon: cut out the portrait, find music, record a voice, animate a zoom, add captions. Most organisations do not have that afternoon, which is why the flyer gets posted as an image and the event is announced without a video at all.

Common questions

Does it need anything besides the flyer? No. Vizard Agent reads the details off the image, and extra photographs from previous events make a better video if you have them.

Will it get the date and venue right? It reads what is printed. Check the flyer itself is correct, because Vizard Agent will faithfully repeat a mistake.

Can it animate the speaker's photo? Yes, and it is worth asking the person first. Vizard Agent crops the portrait cleanly before animating it.

Can I keep the flyer visible in the video? Yes. Ask for it as the closing card so the details stay readable.

Does it write the script? Yes. Vizard Agent writes a short invitation from the flyer's own information and the tone you name.

Can I get a square version too? Yes. Ask for both and the second comes from the same assets rather than a fresh build.
