How to turn your logo white without filling in the letters

Send Vizard Agent your logo files and ask for a pure white version over the footage. The quick way to whiten a logo is to paint everything visible white, and if the file has solid white inside a letter, the letter fills in. Vizard Agent finds those enclosed shapes and keeps them see-through.

What do you type into Vizard Agent?

Send every version of the logo you have, and say which one is the real reference. Vizard Agent can only rebuild the mark correctly if it knows what the letters are supposed to look like, and a file that has been exported several times may no longer show that.

Add my logo in the bottom left for the last five seconds, entering with a slide and fade. Use a pure white version. Keep it exactly like the original artwork, including the holes in the letters and the small text underneath.

What does Vizard Agent actually do?

It treats the logo as artwork to inspect, not just an image to overlay. Most of the work is finding out what the file really contains, because a supplied "white" logo often is not white, and a "transparent" one can carry solid fills where you expected holes. In the session behind this article it:

When does this not work well?

When a letter's hole is not enclosed. In a script logo the strokes often touch the edge or open into each other, so there is no clean separate shape to clear, and you get a better result from sending a proper single-colour export. Small text under the main mark is the other weak point: check it at full size.

Common questions

Why did my logo come back with filled letters? The file had solid white inside them. Ask Vizard Agent to keep those shapes transparent.

Which file should I send? All of them. Vizard Agent compares the versions and tells you what each contains.

Will a white logo read over bright footage? Not always. Vizard Agent can add a faint dark backing behind it.
